For over 60 years the Nantucket Garden Club has raised funds to provide grants to foster local interest in gardening, horticulture and landscape design and to improve the quality of the environment through land conservation and ecological initiatives.
Each year the Nantucket Garden Club selects projects to fund that are in line with the Club’s mission and purpose.
The Nantucket Garden Club promotes better knowledge and love of gardening, plants, flowers and horticulture, contributes to the beauty of Nantucket, and supports conservation initiatives that protect the island’s fragile and historic environment.
The Club’s Civic Improvement and Grant Program responds to funding requests from community groups and organizations that fit the above criteria. These requests may support ongoing programs or provide seed money for new initiatives, with awards ranging from modest amounts to larger grants.
Applying for Civic Improvements & Grants
The Civic Improvements and Grants applications must be received by July 15. Applicants will be notified of funding decisions by September 1st and approved grants will be payable at that time.
